How to find your perfect shoe size

Your foot length is the basis for determining your shoe size. Since sizes are not standardized, numbers like 37, 39 1/3 or 7.5 can only serve as a guideline. It is therefore better to compare your measured foot length plus an allowance of about 1 to 1.5 cm with the insole length. Find your perfect fit using our size chart.

Ideal size

Measure your foot length to determine your shoe size.

How to measure your feet using the wall-marking method:

  1. Place the paper
Put a blank sheet flush against a vertical wall (no baseboard) and tape it securely.
  2. Position your foot
Stand with both heels gently touching the wall and your weight evenly distributed. Make sure the paper lies flat without creases.
  3. Mark the length
On each side, mark the tip of the longest toe with a small dot. It doesn’t have to be the big toe. If possible, have someone else make the marks to avoid bending and skewing the measurement.
  4. Measure
Measure the distance from each dot back to the edge of the paper that was against the wall. Use the longer of the two measurements as your foot length.
  5. Add the allowance
To get the shoe’s required insole length, add 1–1.5 cm to your foot length. Depending on the shoe style, you may want slightly more or less room at the toes.
